Cookie Policy
This page explains the cookies and similar local-storage technologies DataLobe (“we”, “us”) uses. In short: we use only strictly-necessary and functional cookies. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not track you across other websites. Because every cookie we set is essential to a feature you have asked for, no opt-in consent banner with toggles is required — but we tell you exactly what we store below.
1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file a site stores in your browser. Related technologies (like localStorage) store small values on your device for the same purposes. We group what we use into strictly necessary (required for the Service to function and to keep you secure) and functional (remember a preference you set).
2. Cookies we set
| Name | Category | Purpose | Expiry |
|---|---|---|---|
session | Strictly necessary | Keeps you signed in. HttpOnly (not readable by JavaScript) and marked Secure in production. | 1 hour (refreshed) |
g_oauth / g_oauth_result | Strictly necessary | Protects and completes the “Sign in with Google” round-trip (CSRF-state + handoff). HttpOnly and short-lived. | ~10 minutes |
NEXT_LOCALE | Functional | Remembers the language you choose with the language selector, so the app renders in your language. | ~1 year |
3. Local storage we use
We also store a few small values in your browser’s local storage for functionality only: your light/dark theme preference, and a flag recording that you dismissed the cookie notice. These are not sent to advertisers and are not used for tracking.
4. What we do NOT use
No advertising or marketing cookies, no cross-site or third-party tracking pixels, and no analytics cookies that profile you. We do not sell personal data to advertisers.
5. Managing cookies
Because our cookies are strictly necessary or functional, disabling the essential ones will break sign-in and core features. You can still clear or block cookies in your browser settings at any time; you can also change or clear the language preference from the in-app language selector.
6. Changes
If we ever introduce non-essential cookies, we will update this page and add a proper opt-in consent mechanism before those cookies are set. Material changes are reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
